Could a megalodon survive in the Mariana Trench?For Megalodon to live in the Marina Trench it would require an abundant food supply. Humans have only traveled to the bottom of Challenger Deep twice. It is a forbidding landscape, and not very hospitable to a predatory shark.
What lives at the bottom of Mariana Trench?The most common life found at the bottom of the trench are microorganisms, and scientists have identified over 200 different species from mud samples they have collected. Creatures found in large quantities include saucer-sized, single-celled xenophyophores, which feed on sediment.
