At some point in the early 1700's, a number of Bourg descendants moved to the Ile St. Jean (Prince Edward Island) to escape English rule. Two of these, who figure in the history of Bourg/Bourque families of Louisiana were Francois Louis, the son of Martin Bourg and Marie Potet, and the grandson of Antoine's first son Francois.
